The brick skirting around this historic home was beginning to crumble in places. In trying to keep the needed repairs on the interior of the crawl space, so as to avoid visual modifications on the exterior, the Engineer of Record wanted to try shot-crete on the interior. In an effort to tie the brick together. Shot-crete is a type of cement designed for more vertical applications. Welded Wire Fabric was installed, and then shot-crete “shot” onto the walls via concrete pump truck. Then the shot-crete was troweled to provide a semi-smooth finish.
